Disney Princess: I Dare to Dream Concert

Disney Princess: I Dare to Dream is the Philippines’ first digital reality series inspired by your favorite Disney Princesses that puts a spotlight on young girls who aren’t afraid to break the mold, embrace their ambition, dream big and go for it!

From hundreds of auditions, only six girls were chosen to compete. Week after week, the lucky finalists were faced with challenges with some fabulous rewards in store such as a chance to be mentored by the industry greats. Only one girl, however, was chosen for the grand prize: a trip to Tokyo for the premiere of Disney’s live-action movie, Beauty and the Beast, where she will be walking down the red carpet, too!

For the 10th episode, the I Dare to Dream Concert was held at the Mall of Asia Arena last March 22, 2017. Hosted by no less than our own Disney Princess, Miss Lea Salonga. She has been the singing voice of Princess Jasmine and Mulan and as such endeared herself to every single Disney movies lover out there. Co-hosting the event was Christian Bautista. The six little girls all had their Disney song numbers as a duet with various artists.

There were also performances from Aicelle Santos, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Julie Anne San Jose, KC Conception, Morissette, Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos and the one who served as the big sister to the littler girls, social media influencer and YouTuber Janina Vela.

But the performance that really had everyone in awe (and maybe in happy tears too) was the rendition of "A Whole New World" by Miss Lea Salonga herself with Christian Bautista. It would be every Disney aficionado's dream to actually witness said performance in all its magnificence. And no one was left disappointed.

A sweet moment to cap off the night was Lea performing "A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes" with the six little girls before announcing the winner for the digital reality show. Lo and behold, six little girls were jumping up and down the stage as the winner of the trip to Disneyland would be... The six of them! Dreams really do come true for those who believe in it.

Disney's I Dare to Dream Concert was presented by Globe.
